| November 7, 2006 |
The latest Cry Wolf gig list has been uploaded.
Please note that the November 8 gig at The Vault has been cancelled. I received this message from phil@livebandphotos - "Just heard from the locals that The Vault Waltham Cross has closed down. I haven't managed to confirm yet so suggest you check your gigs are still on before travelling."
Sounds like it's pretty definite now... |

Cry Wolf would like to sincerely apologise for not being able to play at The Marne Inn as scheduled last Friday night.
Pars said, "There was chaos on the M25 during rush hour that Friday and it was going to take 3 hours to get to the gig. I spoke with the pub and told them we could not start until after 10:00. We all thought it was best that we cancel. I regret the short notice." |

| Here is a fantastic contribution from 1974. Many, many thanks to Tom Ross for sharing this recollection of a memorable Blackfoot Sue gig and the accompanying poster, and apologies that it took me a while to get to it - there's been a lot going on! |

I've finally put together the first of the photo pages from my trip, The York Club, Great Windsor Park. I fronted up with a camera around my neck and got told to put it away, as one is not allowed to film on Crown Land. After a bit of negotiation I got an okay to go ahead... In fact, the staff were really nice about it.
It's taken a while to get started on my own photos, as there was the cache of older Cry Wolf photos I needed to get scanned in, the excitement of finding the Standing In The Road filmclip, and some other great submissions as well... it's been awfully busy! Apologies to everyone, every single thing you add to the story and history is appreciated, even if it takes a little while for me to add them in.
Thanks everyone, and keep rocking! |

| Here are two historical Cry Wolf photo pages to feast your eyes on: here and here, the first of which features the original line-up with Alan Johnson on lead guitar. |

| On Friday, June 2, 1972, Standing In The Road was first released. 34 years on, here is a most amazing find - thanks to Gary Jordan, here are stills from Blackfoot Sue's performance of Standing In The Road on German TV show Disco 72. How fantastic is this? A huge thank you to Gary, who is keenly campaigning for more 60s and 70s pop footage like this to be released from the vaults so that fans can once again relive these precious moments! Check out his blog for more details. To view the clip in its entirety, click here. |

| I'm working on updating the web site, with the Eurovision Song Contest on in the background. What fantastic fun - with commentator Terry Wogan absolutely dripping sarcasm! I've never seen it before... What a great way to spend a Sunday evening - if I can't spend it at a Cry Wolf gig, that is! |

| Change that to NO progress with the hosting company. Now I'm starting to get mad. So are a lot of other people. Apologies again. Grrrr! |
| May 17, 2006 |
Progress with the hosting company. The Cry Wolf subdomain will be reinstated very soon, they tell me. I can also now get through to my "lost" email.
In the meantime I've updated the Blackfoot Sue album track listings page - the releases are now in chronological order, and I've added details on the recently discovered bootleg that is labelled Call Me. The irony is is that this CD is named after a track with the wrong title - Call Me is in fact Angel. Not forgetting that it's also not Outside Edge... Thanks to those eagle-eyed people who spotted it, and let me know, especially Manfred who sent scans and the correct track listing! |

| Seriously now - I'm really not happy with what the hosting company have done to the website. If you've found your way here but haven't been able to get through to the Cry Wolf web site, that's because the Cry Wolf subdomain got deleted when they shifted all the files to a different system/host. MUCH angst. I've reinstated it, but I don't know how long it will take to propagate across the Internet. |

| HUGE APOLOGIES! The company hosting the website made an unannounced "upgrade" to its systems, resulting in massive disruptions to every website it hosts. In my case, they restored files with a date of April 27, therefore losing all the updates I'd done since then, including the giglist! Hopefully I've caught up now, but their customers, including me, are hugely unhappy, and I'm seriously considering whether I'll stay with them when things come up for renewal. Bear with me! |

| Well, there's one way to get over the post-trip let down: don't even try. Luckily for me, I got to indulge my passion for music last night by seeing the legendary Deep Purple. Hmmm, didn't I see two of these guys on stage at the Royal Albert Hall a little while back? It was fantastic, probably the best gig of theirs that I've ever seen - well, apart from having seen Ritchie play with them. And in a nice little twist, they played 2 Cry Wolf tracks as their encore - Hush and Black Night. |

| I'm back home, the Cry Wolf gig list has been updated for May / June, and I've added a bit more to the trip diary - it has the potential to be the longest ever, there's so much more to add yet!. |

There's a new trip diary begun... yes, it's all on again! Photos to follow as soon as I have a spare 5 minutes... |

| The website updates are just about finished off now. I'm polishing off the last few while I also rework a vest I bought, adding padded quilting - it seems crazy on a hot summer February afternoon, but I'll need it next trip! I'm also watching the Metallica movie, Some Kind Of Monster, for the first time - I knew Dave Mustaine (Megadeth) had been in it (and I really felt for the guy - all of the hurt came out), but I had had no idea Pep (that's Pepper Keenan, from Corrosion Of Conformity, to you!) had tried out for the bass job! His special brand of crazy would have fitted in real well...! (I should add that Pep is not actually bass player in COC, he's lead singer and rhythm guitarist.) COC were Metallica's protégés for a while back in the 90s. Pep and his family were also residents of New Orleans and forced to relocate during Hurricane Katrina. |

| Design revisions occurring… in particular, I'm working on the gig photo pages, as they were often created in a hurry on the morning after the gig! Most changes are slight, but there are a few new pictures on photo pages from last year. |
